Terms & Conditions
The owner agrees that in making an appointment (in person, by telephone or via a messaging service) that they agree to the following terms and conditions:
It is assumed that you will bring your animal into the salon in ‘Normal Condition’. That is; that you groom your animal at home (right down to the skin) regularly between appointments, and that you will present your animal at the salon in an unmated and dry state. Any condition other than ‘Normal’ will most probably take us longer to deal with and will, therefore, incur additional charges.
In the event of any animal needing a shave down/clip down, the owner should be aware that irritation may occur from the shaving process, as well as uncovering nicks, cuts or other potential problems.
The owner agrees that Topdog Grooming Salon and its staff will not be held liable for any after-grooming effects of matt clipping procedures or problems “uncovered” by clipping off a badly matted, neglected coat. This could include, but is not limited to the following: itchiness, skin redness, irritations or abrasions . No animal will be subjected to stress or discomfort and all animals will be groomed in accordance with The Animal Welfare Act 2007.
We photograph and/or video every case of neglect brought into the salon for grooming.
The owner agrees to ensure their animal has had an adequate chance to relieve itself before they attend their salon appointment.
The owner agrees that payment in full will be made upon collection of their animal.
Should additional charges need to be imposed we will try to contact the owner to provide prior notice.
We photograph animals on arrival and departure of the salon on occasions to be used for promotional purposes, the owner agrees to the use of these photographs for this nature.
The owner (or another responsible person) agrees to inform Topdog Grooming Salon at the time of booking if the animal has bitten or has aggressive tendencies.
Topdog Grooming Salon reserves the right to muzzle your Animal or ask you to muzzle your own animal or to refuse to groom it if it represents a danger to us or other animals in the salon. Unless this has been discussed and agreed beforehand we reserve the right to turn your animal away without grooming it – however, the full starting price for your groom will still be charged because at that point we cannot fill your appointment.
Cancellations/Non attendance of appointments:
When you make an appointment with Topdog Grooming Salon, the owner agrees to pay 30% of the initial estimate given at the time of booking if they fail to notify Topdog Grooming Salon at least 24 hours in advance during normal operating hours.
The owner agrees that should the collection/drop off service be used they will have the animal ready for collection at the time allocated and that they are happy for their animal to travel within the rear of the car and be appropriately restrained.
The owner agrees that should a road traffic accident occur whist Topdog Grooming Salon staff aretransiting your animal, Topdog Grooming Salon and its staff will not be held liable for any loss or vet bills that may incur.
